Hi I’m Marc. I am a trained and qualified Spiritual Director in the Carmelite Tradition. I offer spiritual guidance and accompaniment to those who are feeling lost or needing a companion on their spiritual journey.

In my own journey I have walked from fundamentalism into doubt and atheism, into mysticism. I explored many world spiritualities along my own journey, so by walking alongside you I offer a way to listen to Spirit together, wherever spirit may lead you.

Spiritual Direction is a bit of a misnomer – it’s about seeking the direction of a greater power together (God, the Divine, your Higher Self, the All), and being attentive to the leading of Spirit. It’s not about me giving you the direction to go! I can accompany you as a friend, I’m not a guru or priest. It’s a sacred time and space of openness, and whatever you might share is strictly confidential within the context of the session.

Although I trained in the spirit of the Carmelite charism, I’m not here to convert you to any particular form of faith or religion. During my own dark night, the last thing I wanted was people trying to convert me back to the faith I had left behind. What I craved, and what my own faith tradition had failed to give me space for, was openness and questioning on my personal spiritual quest.

So now I offer you a space to explore spirituality together.

I offer this 1:1 via zoom sessions. I also offer it in the context of a mountain journey retreat (I’m a mountain guide in my other role).

I offer guidance and direction in an eclectic, inclusive way, tailored to your own spiritual journey. My explorations into many of the world’s spiritualities, and my study of comparative religion, have given me an overview and wisdom of what practices might be helpful for your own spiritual growth. I can also suggest personality indicators and an understanding of some psychological concepts to help you connect with your deeper self, and ultimately help you connect with the Divine or the Sacred, however you understand or don’t understand it. I am happy to offer a free consultation over zoom to hear where you are at and where you might be headed, and see if I might be the right fit for you.
